Hey everyone! Training week here in Madison is almost over, which is quite the bittersweet thing! I’ve met some awesome people here from all the different worksites and have already established some really valuable relationships! I’m so glad and humbled to be a part of this ministry.
Probably the best part of this week has been the growth the Mississippi team has experienced. We are all very much family now and all equally stoked for what this summer has in store for us!
The entire collective group of interns (over 80+ people including full time staff) stayed the week at a nice place called the Kalahari Resort (Todd, one of the founders of the ministry has a great connection there) in Wisconsin Dells. It had awesome convention halls and meeting rooms allowing us to practice and refine our worship styles for the upcoming weeks at the individual worksites. We also did full run thru’s of each night of the week to simulate what it would be like with students. To get a full glimpse of what we were up to, you can check out this video – http://vimeo.com/43317811 –
Our Mississippi team was assigned to lead the Friday night worship, last night which was the last official night of our training. We had an INCREDIBLE evening. I will never get used to the power of the Holy Spirit and how God works through us to give His word to others by enhancing our talents and authority… it continues to amaze me!
We are now in Madison staying at Asbury United Methodist and am heading into worship now! We have a somewhat relaxing day ahead that hopefully includes a nap haha. Tomorrow we’ll be heading down to Mississippi and taking our time! Maybe even stopping at a few places to visit family.
We’ll be lifting up:
+ safe travels
+ continued team growth
+ a great orientation week in Mississippi with solid preparation
+ actively seeking partnership with our Mississippi community
Thank you so much for reading and keep up! Looking forward to seeing all that God has in store for us and sharing it with you!
