The students arrive tonight!

Hey everyone!

Orientation week has been quite awesome, but now it’s go time! Students will be arriving at 8pm (central time) and will be heading right into our worship night! I will be posting a recap (time willing) and want to take this time to ask for some specific prayers that our team needs as we head into tonight!

+ safe travels for our construction team
+ our Next Step vehicle may or may not be out of commission temporarily, we need some serious prayers right now for this!
+ organization remains intact
+ cues and flow of worship night go smoothly, no technical difficulties
+ that I would speak truthfully and honorably of the Word, that every word I speak be lead and saturated with the Spirit
+ that everything tonight in general, be done prayerfully and in recognition of God’s hand in everything
Father, tonight is all yours. Let your will be done so that these students, leaders, community members and the world would know you so much more.

Last night, our area coordinator named Paul led us in a devotional (devo) on Philippians (ironic right?)
We read and talked about the 3rd chapter, staying humble, how we can serve one another and  what our ultimate goal is. As we met over the word, I discovered a new favorite verse, I hope this encourages you and provides clarity for you as much or even more than it has for me

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
– Philippians 3:14 (NIV)
